farewell,
my coney island baby
the disposable project pt. 1

Coney
Island. New York. April 9, 2000.
Woody
Allen used the house under the Thunderbolt's far turn (conveniently
not shown in this picture) in Annie Hall. Legend has it
the back seat of the Thunderbolt in its later, declining years
was actually a bale of hay. The structure itself isn't burnt;
that's just what nearly 20 years of decline does to you. There
were still light bulbs in the beautiful light fixtures on the
turnarounds. While this may not have been one of John Miller's
greater creations, it certainly would have been worth saving,
or recreating.
And
the fence. More fence.
