Astroland was all in place, ready for Opening Day today. But you just can't run a merry-go-round with snow on it. It detracts from the Merriment.

By the by, I'm told that missile on top of the concession stand is the same kind of ride that until recently could be found at Canobie Lake Park -- the "USA Missile" cheesy simulator ride. If you never rode it, you didn't miss much, unless you liked a stiff neck.
