NBC's coverage of the 2000 Summer Olympics was miserable. Not only was it heavily edited and the actual sports stuff kept to a minimum, but it was also on a heavy time delay and sometimes presented as if the events were just happening right now (which, given the fact that the games were held in Sydney, a real laugh and a half.) Those Americans who lived close enough to pick up Canadian stations got a real treat. Them Canadians know how to broadcast sports, it seems.

Now it's 2004 and we've got another set of games coming up, and I almost really don't care.
