I liked doing this mockup, too. Seems that the Enquirer really has a gay obsession, or perhaps its readers do. If you can't stick a celebrity with a pregnancy rumor, get 'em with the gay one instead. My girlfriend at the time came up with the "Why You Should Care" line as we stood in the grocery store looking over the racks of tabloids.

The Bob Hope joke is also a classic -- he'd been on death's door since like 1990 as far as the Enquirer was concerned, and every time he stumbled over a breath or looked funny at his nurse, they were right there to proclaim that he hadn't long to go now. Well, you bastards, he had you going til 2003 so bravo for him. I wonder if they'll start a Pope or Reagan deathwatch next.
