I
love DeLay's vacuously stupid expression when I closed his mouth
for him. He really did rail on and on about the lack of search warrant
when it was clear one had been issued, and was quite fond of using
the whole Elian Gonzales thing to shoot his mouth off over whatever
he thought made him look better.
Leo
was chosen for this because at the time, I think, he'd done some
news interviews with politicians or at least "serious"
movie stars. The punchline here has quite a Tom Tomorrow feel to
it, with the deflection and all. I've been a Tom Tomorrow fan for
quite some time, even when he trips over the fine line between genius
and insanity and gets all ranty. At least he's not a jackass like
Ted Rall.
