This one was a reader favorite, and for good reason, because everybody hated those stupid KFC commercials. They featured a cartoon version of Colonel Sanders (voiced by Randy Quaid) doing all sorts of funky things like dancing the Cabbage Patch and saying "Go Colonel! It's yo birfday!" And once you saw the commercial, it was seared into your brain along with all your other unpleasant memories, like passing by the gory car wreck or walking in on your parents having sex.

I mean, while he was alive, Colonel Sanders was treated with the respect due to a multimillionaire Kentucky colonel, but I guess after you're dead for 20 years that means they can make you into a cartoon and have you shuck and jive for your chicken.

I used several images of dead celebrities in the Comix and after this strip, tried very very very hard to avoid lines that featured similar "Boy, I wish I were still alive..." views, even though they were surprisingly easy to write.
