Part Two

I love the final panel. (That's William Weld officiating, by the way.) I also love how the ponies talk, especially the one that smells like strawberries. This page still makes me giggle every time I look it over. One of my favorite jokes is that the little sister's writing subtly violates the sequential dialogue rule: if you naturally read the dialogue balloons in the third panel from left to right, top to bottom, the dialogue seems kinda disjointed and out-of-place. (The balloons should be placed so that the dialogue naturally flows with the way your eyes are trained to read.) So yeah, it's subtle. But I like it. And yes, she spelled "surrender" wrong. That was intentional too.

The original version had a postscript by Sam that called his sister's work "so gay" and mentioned how he was gonna get The Rock over there to kick the ponies in the roody-poo or something. I never liked it. Exercising my DVD Director's Cut privileges, I've removed it. That's the only editorial change I've made to the Comix for this Annotated Version.

And again, I'm really sorry about that Janet Reno Photoshop.

Er, I'm really sorry about that picture of Janet Reno enhanced by Adobe(TM) Photoshop(TM) brand software.
