The brilliant writing in this one almost makes up for the fact that the picture of Janet Reno Khan is the absolute worst Photoshop job I've ever done. I'm really, really, really sorry. I'd tried to match the skin tones but I just couldn't get the hang of it and it wasn't working, so I just threw it up in despair and hoped that maybe people would think the joke was that the 10-year-old Sam Brazetsky was the one who'd done the art that week.

Really.

I'm sorry.

However, the shift in tone between this page and the next is just brilliant. (That's where Sam stops writing and his sister takes over.) I liked the concept of Sam Brazetsky so much that he got to come back for the 100th strip. And Idora Park is a defunct amusement park somewhere outside Youngstown.
