I'm not sure why I did two self-referential strips back-to-back, and so early on in the life of the Comix, to boot. I usually consider them the last refuge of a desperate comic writer (though, to my credit, I never did write a strip where I complained about not having anything to write about.)

The first letter, by the way, was a real letter. The rest are all fake (as the second page clearly demonstrates.) We never did get much fan mail, sadly.
