While I hadn't completely abandoned the premise of Laffent by this point, the kid in the picture (at least in my warped little worldview) is definitely Sam Brazetsky of Idora Park, Ohio, whose work on "The Wrath of Janet Reno Khan" seems to have landed him at least an internship at Catatonic Comix.

And here you thought we never had any real recurring characters.
